Rivers Alive Cleanup & Recycling Event

Our annual Rivers Alive waterway cleanup & recycling event is October 29 at 3 different locations in coordination with the Augusta Utilities Department, Augusta Recreation and Parks, ESG Operations, Inc. Richmond County Sheriffs Department, Augusta Landfill and AARP Georgia.

All Rivers Alive cleanup volunteers will be provided with vinyl gloves, trash bags, Rivers Alive t-shirts, and lunch.

Check-in 8AM-9AM
Cleanup 9am-noon
Lunch 12-1PM

Sign up to volunteer at any of the following locations:
Lake Olmstead - 2200 Broad St. Augusta, GA 30904
Diamond Lakes Community Center - 4335 Windsor Spring Rd. Hephzibah, GA 30815
or New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam - 2102 Lock and Dam Rd. Augusta, GA 30906

*The Rivers Alive Recycling Event from 9AM-12PM at New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam will feature:
Take-Back Pharmaceuticals (sponsored by the Augusta Richmond County Sheriff's Office)
Recycle Small Electronics (Augusta Landfill)
and Document Shredding (AARP of Georgia).

An optional drive-through line will be set up to receive these items; please limit the number of documents to two trash bags.

*The Rivers Alive Recycling Event from 9AM-12PM at the Augusta Wastewater Treatment Facility at 1820 Doug Barnard Pkwy. Augusta, GA 30906 will accommodate Recycling of Used Cooking Oil (Augusta Utilities & ESG Operations).
